Welcome to the December 2020 newsletter, and Happy New Year! As 2020 comes to a close, we can safely say we’re all glad to say goodbye to 2020 and hoping for better things to come in 2021.

As customers look to make 2021 plans for their programs, data insights are crucial to making smart, informed, and strategic decisions. In December, Lilt built foundations for a key element of localization program management: customer access to data through our newest iterations of Lilt Insights.

Our State of the Localization Industry Survey

On Tuesday, we were excited to announce the launch of Lilt’s inaugural “State of Localization Survey,” open to any professionals who work on localization/HLT at their respective organizations. The survey is designed to assess and provide insight into the state of localization operations within enterprise and government organizations around the world.

Survey findings will be published in a comprehensive, publicly shared report that includes trends, best practices, and priorities of the localization industry. Click here to participate!

Customer Spotlight: Cricut

This month, we want to take the opportunity to highlight the success of Cricut, a Lilt customer. Cricut provides innovative smart cutting machines and apps to customers looking to bring craft, design, and DIY into homes around the world. While Cricut had seen incredible growth and success in North America, it needed to understand and acquire new global customers in order to maintain its impressive growth.

Partnering with Lilt, Cricut was able to implement an effective localization solution to help them with their expansion and enable additional growth. Read on to learn how Cricut was able to grow in new markets with support from Lilt!

Lilt Insights


In data we trust! Customers have always wanted a means to manage and optimize their localization program through Lilt performance data. 

In our newest iterations of Lilt Insights, interactive analysis and dashboards provide customers the opportunity to access their Lilt data in order to make more informed, strategic program decisions.

Lilt Insights for Services

In Lilt Insights for services customers, three distinct reports provide insight into translation projects, language pairs, and more. A series of interactive dashboards embedded within a customer’s BI tool of choice allow Lilt customers to leverage usage data to make better business decisions.

These dashboards allow customers to closely monitor total volume localized, TM leverage, performance across specific projects or periods of time, and more.

Insights v2_2A cost dashboard allows customers to closely monitor their spend (overall and by language) to ensure that they are optimally managing their budget and appropriately investing in strategic priorities.

Lilt Insights for Software

In Lilt Insights for software customers, two distinct reports provide insight into translation projects, language pairs, and more. A series of interactive dashboards embedded within a customer’s Lilt instance allow customers to leverage Lilt usage data to make better business decisions.

These dashboards allow customers to closely monitor total volume localized, TM leverage, performance across specific projects or periods of time, and more.

Total volume localized and average turnaround time by language provide customers additional opportunities to strategically monitor performance and eliminate bottlenecks. TM leverage by language enables customers to identify linguistic assets that may not be performing as well and need replacement or cleanup.

Batch MT

Previously, if a customer wanted to translate an entire document with MT, the Lilt platform would segment the content, and translate each segment one by one in the Lilt MT engine, with an average translation speed of a few thousand words per minute.

With Batch MT, the Lilt platform now takes big document, large volume MT requests and translates them all at once on a GPU at a much faster rate, allowing customers to translate hundred-thousand word documents in a matter of seconds.

Connectors

Lastly, we’re happy to share that we have recently developed a new CMS Connector that makes integrating Lilt into your current systems and workflow easier than ever: the Lilt Drupal Connector.
